Has anyone conducted a Health Fair at their church and how did you go about getting it started such as, lab work, informational booths etc.

Rose Hill United Methodist Church has conducted several with lab screenings.

I have been involved with Health Skills Fairs in an attempt to empower people with interactive experiences such as learning to read nutrition labels...How to eat 25-35 grams of fiber per day...learning about portion control...smoking cessation, ad busting, etc.

Link your group with partners in the community such as Coordinated School Health Councils and school technology experts, Extension agents, Regional Prevention Centers, area hospital or community based fitness-wellness centers, local public health departments, etc. for hands-on learning experiences.

If you need a Tooth Fairy or other health edutainers, I can link you with that. I can also show you the notebooks that we compiled. You could also visit the www.usd384.org website and explore the "school health" page links.

Best wishes,

Helen
